Silent footage beginning with an exterior shot of the Social Security Administration building at 1010 The Alameda, San Jose. Cut to an interior records room housing rows of data storage tapes. A woman walks through the rows and pulls out one of the reels. The next shot is a computer lab where two women are working with the tape drive systems. A punch card machine spits out a punch card. Men are working with large computer systems, including an IBM System 360.
