The story is titled, "Homolateral patterning," with intro, "A human drama has unfolded in the Cambrian area of San Jose...for a report...here's Channel 11's Bob Marsden. Billy Graham is 14 years old. He lives with his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Graham at 1563 Alisal Avenue here in San Jose. When their son was born, the Grahams were told that he had received brain damage due to the rh blood factor. This damage is quite evident by his lack of speech and poor motor ability. However, recent psychological and physiological tests at the Institute for the Achievement of the Human Potential indicate that Billy has much more comprehension than he appears to have by just observing his motor ability. The Institute, which has branches in Philadelphia and San Bernardino, has helped many youngsters with brain damage make complete recovery. The Grahams are currently engaged in carrying out the program of training recommended by the Institute for Billy's rehabilitation. We talked with Mrs. Graham about the program...Mrs. Graham added that the training program is a even-day a week job, with no time off for holidays. The grahams, of course, are more than willing to put in whatever time is necessary if it is to help their son. But, they do need help...210 volunteers are needed to contribute five minutes of their time each week to work with Billy."
