Description: Original camera footage edited for broadcast for KNTV San Jose Channel 11 news on November 7, 1966. The broadcast script for this date has not survived. Reel 1: Segment 1 (silent): San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams football game action in the old San Francisco Kezar stadium, in the rain. Players are seen sloshing through the soggy field. [Game was played on November 6] Segment 2 (sound): Man on camera with a counterpoint to KNTV Channel 11's endorsement of Proposition 4. He argues that Proposition 4 should be defeated in order to protect the 66 2/3 margin for referenda, in order to protect property owners' rights. Segment 3 (silent): Offices of the Economic Opportunity Commission, flooded inside. A man is seen trying to mop up all the water on the floor. Segment 4 (sound): Interview with representative of the job training center in Santa Clara County. He says there have been job training programs in Santa Clara County since 1957, and the County has been a leader in the nation. He's satisfied overall with the results they've had, but says they can be doing more. He's looking for more money to hire more counselors, and thinks they can place 850 people in employment at a tax savings of $250 million per year. Reel 2: Segment 1 (silent): Appears to be a French culinary training program inside a commercial kitchen. Chefs are seen cutting up chickens and roasts; looking at trays of French cheeses; looking at large vats; they are overseen by a man in a chef's hat with a thin mustache. [Reel 3, segment 4 appears to relate to the same story] Segment 2 (sound): Santa Clara County election official explaining how to use the IBM Votomatic machine. The reporter asks how people can do write-in votes, and what happens if they make a mistake? Reel 3: Segment 1 (silent): Footage of site of a small plane that has crashed into a tree. Segment 2 (sound): Interview with woman who is dealing with issues related to the plane crash. Apparently her roof was damaged, and the rain has been washing the odors and wreckage of the plane into her bedroom closet. Segment 3 (silent): Demonstration of how to use the IBM Votomatic machine.
