As I acquired old 16mm films over the years, it became clear that certain unwise individuals would tear off the opening of the original Panoram films, as they were reversed... This always frustrated me.
I was fortunate enough to find some and reattach the first few crucial seconds (not only the opening titles, but the entire three-minute shorts were reverse-image for the machines). In other cases, I was not so lucky.
