The film follows mother cat "Bootie" from her pregnancy through labor and the birth of three kittens. Emphasizes the birth process and the postnatal care. We recommend lowering the "doo-doo" folky soundtrack to better enjoy this remarkable film. Of Bootie, Claire Johnston, daughter of filmmaker Hugh & Suzanne Johnston says, "She was a devoted mother of her kittens, the ones that were filmed, and of the ones that came later."
