Description: A story about a boy, two kites, and the stranger who makes the kites., A nonnarrated story about a little boy who discovers a mysterious kite-maker on a hillside in the Southwest. The boy makes a plain but charming kite which he takes home but which he forsakes the next day for a glittering rocket kite which cannot fly. When he turns back to the plain kite, it is torn and ripped from having vainly followed him.

Complete Record: The desolation and loneliness of a young boy living on the desert's edge disappears when he discovers an itinerant kite maker. An intensive visual experience without words which should set young minds prowling in a world part real and part imaginative.
