Description: From the small garden of a princess, two centuries ago, the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew have developed into a world-famous oasis of trees, flowers, shrubs and exotic plants, laid out amidst spacious lawns for the delight of over a million visitors a year. Shows Kew as a Commonwealth institution for botanical research, training student gardeners from home as well as overseas.
