The police hurried to his trailer court home and arrested him, without a warrant. He was "tried" by the judge and sent to a youth work farm in Ft. Grant, AZ. Were his "rights" violated? A 1968 poll asked people if it was 'ok' for the FBI/police to routinely "rough up" certain individuals, and 40% said that was 'ok.' A second story tells of a high school principal who censored a school newspaper. Some great late 60's footage of Vietnam protesters outside a government building; one gets hauled off by the cops. Also has footage of a "hippie sit-in" at a university, and night-time footage of rioting in Watts; also shows several blacks, chained together, being placed inside police paddy wagon. Two 60's black men speak about police brutality to camera crew.
