Description: Episode of Series “World cultures and youth”. Four thousand years ago in the high mountains of the Andes, the Inca Indians began carving gourds to record their legends and history. Today Julia Sanabria, 11 years old, continues the ancient craft taught by her uncle. She carves her own life story on a gourd and takes it to the market town of Huancayo. Suitable for upper primary and lower secondary levels.
