Shows industrial development at Port Augusta; the beauty and vastness of the inland from the Flinders Ranges through Pimba and the saltbush country; wildflowers that spring up after rain; some of the station properties; opal mining at Coober Pedy; Gibber plains; the remains of bush fires; cattle droving; salt pans and dry creek beds and finally the town of Alice Springs.
