Attendees included Joe Clark (Canada), Valéry Giscard d'Estaing (France), Helmut Schmidt (West Germany), Giulio Andreotti (Italy), Masayoshi Ohia (Japan), Margaret Thatcher (United Kingdom), Jimmy Carter (United States), and Roy Jenkins (European Commission). One of the main topics was the oil embargo. Established in 1961, Japan Screen Topics is a monthly publicity series produced by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Now known as Japan Video Topics, the program is distributed via Japanese embassies and consulates to organizations in over 100 countries.
