Jailhouse Rock.

Vince Everett (Elvis) accidentally kills a drunken and belligerent man in a barroom brawl. Vince Everett is sentenced to two years in the state penitentiary for manslaughter. His cellmate, washed-up country singer Hunk Houghton (Hunk) starts teaching Vince to play the guitar. Hunk then convinces Vince to participate in an upcoming inmate show, which is broadcast on nationwide television. Vince records "Don't Leave Me Now," which Peggy takes to Geneva Records. Peggy Van Alden (Tyler) persuades Vince to record a demo so that he can listen to himself sing.
