Tells about nine-year-old Claudia who hates her big ears and hides them under a big floppy hat. Reveals that under the hat she can’t see to play baseball or hopscotch or badminton and that life was very lonely under the hat- until she bumps into Paul, who is also hiding under a hat because he has freckles. Finally, they both agree that it’s silly to hide under hats.
