Description: This film showcases activities at the Flint Institute of Music, depicting musicians performing different types of music and explains why a good musician strives to understand and appreciate more than just his or her own type of music. Illustrates the many ways listeners enjoy symphonic music without technically understanding it and documents the dedication and perseverance of musicians during their rehearsals. Interviewed are Flint Symphony concertmaster Louis Krch, orchestral director Bill Byrd, Managing Director Roberta Jachim, bassist and rock performer Chris Brown and flautist Jimmy Cruiz.
