Description: Tells the Samoan tale of a chief's son who is sent to the Island of Drums to get a drum to call his men to council. Relates that when the boy leaves without thanking the Drum Chief, the Drum Chief is so angered that he takes away the drum's voice. Concludes with the boy's father putting the useless drum outside his door to remind the son of the importance of good manners.
