Description: MIT Professor John G. King performs an experiment in which light exhibits both particle and wave characteristics. He uses a very dim light source, a double slit, and a photomultiplier in such a way that less than one photon is in the apparatus at any given time. King points out that the characteristic interference pattern is pointed out by many individual photons hitting at places consistent with the interference pattern, and discusses the implications of this action.
