"Channel Four will telecast "Inside San Quentin" a new Assignment Four documentary, Sunday March 1 at 7pm. The documentary will picture life in San Quentin from three points of view; that of the prisoner, the warden and the chief psychiatrists. The Channel Four cameras film life at the state prison, and at the same time explore the three represented points of view. As part of the half-hour color program, excerpts from the play "The Cage" written and performed by former inmates of San Quentin, will be seen. "The Cage" is an emotional drama illustrating the frustrations and perversity of prison life."
