Inkle Looms

Erika Semler, of the Hand Weavers and Spinners Guild of Australia, demonstrates weaving on the inkle loom. Illustrates how a skilled weaver used a inkle loom to make an attractive woven tie on one loom, and, on another, weave a bright colored band. Sequences include tensioning, preparing the warp, attaching the heddles, and the actual weaving. Shows how to incorporate patterns and suggests uses for the finished product.
