An English war veteran travels through Denmark, Austria, Italy, and Greece five years after World War II and discovers that the people have virtually recovered from the aftermath of the war. Such scenes as shipbuilding and farming in Denmark, a trade fair in Austria, the leisure time pursuits of people in Vienna, and fishing from boats on the coast of Greece convince him that people of the old world are learning to live and work together.
