A puppet film based upon an old North Carolina folk tale. Baby Rabbit befriends Minor Duck, who is different from the other little animals because he prefers to play his flute and compose songs rather than to play with his brothers. Minor Duck finally becomes the hero when he sings a song about democracy at school; Baby Rabbit is the traffic control officer and leads the group in the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
