A camera study of various animals adjusting to the hardships of their environment during the winter months. Explains that as food becomes scarce and temperatures change, some animals--such as the ground squirrel--go into hibernation, while some-like the spadefoot toad--go into deep sleep called estivation, and others--such as the bear and raccoon--merely sleep for long period of time.
