Summary: An extract from a television programme called "Hemingway's Spain: a love affair", this film reflects the Spain of the l̀ost generation' after World War I, when many Americans visited the country. Using Hemingway's descriptions of the land and the people as commentary, it attempts to capture the feeling of the times. It visits the cities the author and the characters in "The sun also rises" visited, ending with the running of bulls and the fiesta of San Fermin at Pamplona. The film is narrated by Jason Robards and the words of Hemingway are read by Rod Steiger.
