Harry, the dirty dog

Based on the book by Gene Zion, this film faithfully re-creates the story of Harry, a white dog with black spots, who encounters a series of dirt-filled misadventures that transform him into a black dog with white spots., Harry, a white dog with black spots, enjoys playing in the sprinklers, climbing trees and doing tricks. Escaping a hated bath, Harry dashes away with his scrub brush, buries it in the yard, and sets out to explore the city. After many adventures, Harry finds himself in the middle of two feuding housepainters. Coated with paint, Harry becomes a black dog with an occasional white spot. Fleeing a frenzied dogcatcher, Harry returns home but is not recognized. Harry remembers the hiding place of the scrub brush and brings it to the children who transform him, once again, into their beloved Harry, a white dog with black spots.
