Harnessed flames

Description: The manufacture of iron and steel at Port Kembla; the conversion of coal into coke in the enormous coke ovens; the smelting of iron ore in the blast furnaces to produce cast iron; the use of molten iron and scrap metal in the open hearth furnaces to produce high-grade steel; the rolling and stamping of white-hot ingots reducing the material to convenient shapes and sizes.
