Handy Dandy Do It Yourself Editing Film

Shows how a group of students edits a motion picture. Surveys the film editing processes of assembling, selecting, rearranging, and discarding footage.

Once the shots are chosen, the kids show how to use cement and tape splicers. Then they rip music from an LP onto a reel to reel tape deck, and add voiceovers and a prerecorded interview to the reel to reel tape. “Well, I guess it’s time for our fist big screening.” “I guess so.”
