Handling loose materials

Description: The handling of granular or powdered materials in the loose state. The first part describes some mechanical techniques, including conventional closed circuit conveyor; bucket elevator; “zipper” conveyor; self-discharging barge handling grain with a combination of equipment. The second part describes some pneumatic techniques, including principles of pressurised transfer and fluidisation etc.
