Guidance problem for school and home

Uses flashbacks to show experiences that help explain Danny's maladjustment in his second grade class. Shows his mother's overprotective attitude, his father's desire to make him self-reliant, and both parents' antagonism toward Danny's former teachers. Concludes with the mother's visiting school, where she talks with his teacher, observes his behavior in the school situation, and begins to comprehend how she can help Danny toward a happier educational and social experience.
