Description: In 1967 a group of colonels took over the government in Greece. This film covers events which led up to the coup, from the civil war of 1944-49 to the unrest of 1965 when demonstrations took place in Athens. Five years after the coup, we are shown examples of the restrictive policies of the religous/military regime. The ironic title is taken from a patriotic banner in a government orchestrated parade.
