An adaptation of the Dickens' story about the intrigue and romance attending a young man's coming of age in London society. (Does not circulate), Edited from the feature picture produced by Universal. Tells Charles Dickens' story of Pip, the blacksmith's apprentice, who is mysteriously set up as a "gentleman of great expectations." Emphasis is placed upon Pip's awakening to an appreciation of gentlemanliness exemplified by such homely virtues as loyalty and gratitude rather than the veneer of London fashions and manners.
