The story of a group of girls in search of millionaire husbands is used to link up, Ziegfeld style, a series of cine-ballets given a new dimension by Busby Berkeley's use of the camera. Production numbers include: We're in the money, the pre-Hays code Pettin' in the park, The Shadow waltz, which features sixty illuminated violins weaving a violin-shaped pattern against a darkened background, and the finale Remember my forgotten man, an elaborately mounted number inspired by unemployment during the Depression.
