be your friend and i'm sure he's a very nice hard-working guy but put him behind the wheel of a truck and you're playing russian roulette you gotta talk to his boss he's gonna lose his job better his i've been uh going a lot yeah still got a return run tonight well i got some speed can't i got a drug test coming up soon and i got to be clean you know i don't know when it's going to be it's too bad because i got some of that same killer coke from freddy again oh you're kidding nope uh i i i better not too great at temptation but uh wait wait you think you still might have some in a week or so it'll be like my little reward you want it i got it now i better not i thought i was above getting addicted i knew how to handle it i was in control the truth of the matter is that the drugs are in control the booze is in control it all started with some painkillers that the doc gave me for my back and they made me feel real good but drowsy and they slowed up my reflexes so i started on the amphetamines and then they'd make you edgy and i couldn't sleep so it was back to the downers again maybe a beer or two at bedtime i called the roofers and they came out to look at the job it's gonna cost two thousand dollars and i looked in the checkbook and we don't have it you just have to put it off then well we can't put it off i mean the leak is starting to ruin it then we're already up to our limits damn it ellen where's all the money going i don't know jack but i have seen a lot of checks written for cash in your handwriting what's that supposed to mean what is this the third degree it's my money isn't it i'm the one out there busting my butt look what's wrong with you you've just been so irritable anything the kids and i say are doing just seems to set you up so what am i an alcoholic like your old man is that what you're saying i'm a hell of a lot better man than he ever was i got a good job you never go hungry i mean because i have a drink once in a while that makes me an alcoholic jack what's happening to us the shorter more intense the high the lower the low and when i was on coke man i would come down hard would feel real depressed restless i just never put the two together i couldn't figure out why i felt so bad i know you feel that you're doing them a favor by keeping the old lip button but you're not you got to do something pal yeah i know [Music] hey
