George Bernard Shaw

Using newsreel interviews and conversation with such people as Dame Sybil Thorndike and Kingsley Martin the film presents the personality of Shaw, the social critic whose plays cast a brilliant light on the political ideas struggling for expression at the turn of the century. Commentary by John van Eyssen and Tony Quinn.
