Description: A description of some of the hydro-electric schemes in the British Isles showing how this power is harnessed and some of the difficulties which have to be overcome. The film also shows the Karapiro Dam under construction in New Zealand which, when completed, will be one of the largest in the world. Turbo-generators, made in Britain, are being installed at this dam.
