The filmmaker employs burning, baking, cutting, painting, etching the film and collage techniques to unite the human elements of love-making with elements of the natural environment. Schneemann conceived the film as shot through the impassive gaze of her cat, an observer whose view of human sexuality is free of voyeurism and ignorant of morality.
