Freezing Point

Covers the expeditions of Roald Amundsen of Norway and Robert Falcon Scott of Britain to the South Pole during 1911 and 1912. Shows how the two men prepared differently for the race and made different decisions during the trek, using actual film and photographs of the expeditions. Investigates why Amundsen succeeded while Scott failed.
