Description: Demonstrates graphically the development of binary phase diagrams from free energy curves. Relates the change in Gibbs Free Energy to increasing temperature in a one-component system. Observes the relationship of the summary curve to the curves for the crystalline, liquid, and gas phases. Illustrates the contributions of composition and temperature for a binary system which is then extended to the free-energy surface of G-T-X space to show how minimum criteria are used to generate the phase diagrams.
