Description: This biographical sketch of the late President Roosevelt starts with scenes of his funeral. The film then goes back to scenes of his entry into politics in 1910. Following this he served as Asst. Sec. of the navy under Wilson, and in 1920 he became the youngest vice-presidential candidate in history. In 1928, he went to the state house in Albany to serve as Governor of New York. The film includes scenes and portions of his speeches during his first campaign as president of the United States in 1932. It shows his numerous meetings with Churchill and Stalin, his declaration of war after the attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbor, the meeting at Casablanca in which he demanded unconditional surrender for the enemy, the meeting at Pearl Harbor and his initial groundwork for the San Francisco Conference.
