Released 1942-12-09 Content Description Coverage of the attack on Pearl Harbor, its aftermath and the recovery of Army Air Corps and Navy forces. Includes Movietone cameraman Al Brick's exclusive footage of of the harbor filmed on the mornng of December 7th as well as Navy. His sequences include the panoramas filmed from Aiea Shoals looking down at the harbor as well as films made from a Navy yard craft alongside the ships of Battleship Row. Additional footage includes sequences aboard the NEVADA (filmed December 15th). Footage of the ARIZONA blowing up (shot by Capt. Erik Hakannson aboard the SOLACE) is printed in reverse from its original 16mm color source. Navy film includes that of the restorations of the fleet, notably the rising of the OGLALA, pumping out of the CALIFORNIA and salvage of OKLAHOMA.
