Forest People

Describes the many jobs and different life styles found in the forest regions of the world. Highlights the lumber operations in Nova Scotia and in Finland, where natural waterways are integral to the transportation of logs from forest to the saw mill. Contrasts the logging operations with sap gathering in France, where the forests yield not only lumber, but other products, including resin which is processed into turpentine and cellulose products.
