Judy Garland and Gene Kelly play vaudeville's Jo Hayden and Harry Palmer in World War I. Gene Kelly stars in the film as Harry Palmer, who is injured in the war. After the war Jo sees Harry in the audience and runs to him. The two reunite on stage to sing "For Me and My Gal"
