TANEYHILL passed for 311 yards and BENNETT ran for 127 yards and caught five passes for 127 yards. The total offensive output of 631 yards fell five yards shy of the school record that was set in 1985. Defensively, the Gamecocks did not give up a touchdown for the first time since the 1990 season as Carolina improved their record to 2-1 for the young season.
