Content Description
This reel features Carolina defense in the second half. After completely dominating the first half by the score of 21-3, Carolina was overcome by the Blue Devils in the second half and succumbed to Duke by the final score of 25-21. QB Ron Bass led the strong first half effort by the Gamecocks, passing for 219 yards while directing the offense to three touchdowns. RB George Rogers, in his first start at Carolina, ran for 57 yards on only eleven carries and registered the final touchdown for the Gamecocks. FINAL SCORE: Duke 25 SC 21; HEAD COACHES: SC-Jim Carlen Duke-Mike McGee. Carolina Stadium in Columbia, SC.

Collection Description
This collection includes 16mm film and video shot by the University of South Carolina's Athletic Department from the 1940s to the 1990s. Most of the films document UofSC's football and basketball programs; a handful document the University's track-and-field program. The majority of films and videos show games played by the Fighting Gamecocks, both football and basketball teams, and include full games and highlights, with defensive and offensive wide shots, for training, scouting and recruitment purposes, as well as special events in the athletic calendar.
