According to a note on the tape, these highlights were used in Coach Joe Morrison weekly's show. The Gamecocks finished the nation's 2nd ranked toughest season schedule with 5 wins and 6 losses. Games featured on this tape include South Carolina’s 20-6 loss to Louisiana State in Baton Rouge on 10/22/1983, South Carolina’s 31-17 win over North Carolina State on 10/29/1983, South Carolina’s 45-30 loss to Florida State in Tallahassee on 11/5/1983, South Carolina’s 31-7 victory over Navy in Columbia on 11/12/1983, when the Gamecocks held the nation's 3rd leading rusher, Napoleon McCallum, to a season-low 62 yards on 21 carries. And South Carolina’s 22-13 loss to Clemson in Columbia on 11/22/1983. Also includes: Feature of the training room with an interview with Head Athletic Trainer, Jerry Lewis (1:10:09). Feature of the weight room with an interview with Keith Kephart, who was voted by his peers as the Nation’s Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year (1:12:25). Feature of Bill Smith, the creator of the “Block C” Carolina logo in 1975. Also, Smith designed the Gamecocks uniforms in 1983, the white jersey and red pants combination (1:14:55). Feature of the assistant coaches for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. This feature depicts the assistant coaches at practice working with the players (1:17:21). Feature of Mrs. K and the other 42 members of the kitchen staff that prepare the meals for the Carolina athletic dorms, the Roost (1:22:26). He kicked for the Gamecocks from 1981 to 1983 and was the 4th best statistical kicker in USC history when his career ended (1:26:50).
