Description: An animated story of a little Swiss girl and her friends. Based on a book written by Selina Chonz and illustrated by Alois Carigiet, the film is the tale of Flurina who, while on a visit in the Alps, saves a small, wild bird from the claws of an eagle. She tries in vain to make the bird into a pet, but finally realizes she must let him go to join his flock. Lonely, Flurina climbs up to a cave where she finds a valuable gem. Then her bird friend swoops down in a farewell salute as she and her family leave for home., The film opens with brief visits to the author and artist in their homes, followed by picturesque views of the Swiss Alps. Changing to animation, the film introduces the story of Flurina, a Swiss schoolgirl who saves a wild bird from the clutches of an eagle.
