Description: This 1955 home movie captures students from Flour Bluff Independent School District in Corpus Christi arriving at the H. E. Butt Foundation Camp in Leakey. The campsite was established the previous year after the H. E. Butt Family Foundation acquired 1,900 acres of land along the Frio River. Promoting Christian character development, the H. E. Butt Foundation Camp provides free camping facilities to churches, schools, and community-service groups. The campers participate in several activities, including archery and target practice as well as swimming in the Frio River. In between working on the grounds, the students have fun line dancing.
