Fish/ Life Story of the Sea Star/ Crayfish Anatomy (3 films)

1st film: Relates the physical characteristics of fish to behaviors such as movement, caring for the young, and defense.

2nd film: Illustrates the life story of the sea star/starfish and show the adaptations of its body for life in the difficult environment of the inter-tidal zone. Demonstrates the characteristics which such exotic echinoderms as the brittle star, the sea urchin, and the sand dollar have in common with the starfish. Co-produced by Ralph Buchsbaum.

3rd film: The anatomy of the crayfish. Shows the external anatomy of a living crayfish and, using a freshly anesthetized specimen, points out its internal anatomy. Shows laboratory techniques used in tracing the circulatory system, the reproductive systems of both male and female, and the digestive system, explaining the function of each organ involved. Points out the green glands and excretory system, the brain, and the nervous system. Crawdad. Crawfish. Mudbug. Retro kitsch.
