Description: Naturalists Gerald and Lee Durrell travel to the South African Kumfolozi Game Reserve to make a photo safari of various grassland animals. Among the creatures that inhabit this complex ecosystem are: the white rhinoceros, giraffe, golden mole, baboons, warthogs, zebra, termites and ticks. The various mammals and insects depend on grass for food, shelter and camouflage. The rhino has four stomachs to help digest it. Ticks use grass as stepladders for mounting passing animals. Dung beetles depend on rhino droppings for sustenance. Using its acute senses of touch and smell, the golden mole lives off the worms it captures in the grassland environment.
