Description: Defines exposure in terms of light intensity, time, film, latitude, and the brightness range of the subject matter. Using a table-top set, shows determination of exposure using a photoelectric exposure meter. Shows the setting of the diaphragm and shutter to control the light intensity and the time which it is allowed to expose the film. Uses animation to select out certain parts of the subject's brightness range; these areas are then plotted against the D-log-E curve of different films. Light intensity, time, subject, brightness range, and film latitude are then reviewed in terms of their effects on obtaining quality photographs.
