Describes the supply sources from the Rivers Lea and Thames, and also from wells sunk in chalk subsoil; shows the purification plants and laboratories safeguarding the health of Londoners; describes the enormous reticulation and pumping system which serves an area of 54 square miles; shows also the installation of new pumping equipment and other plant to keep pace with the ever-growing demand for more water.
