Description: Shows how the Board meets the problem of supplying water to the huge population of London. Describes the supply sources from the Rivers Lea and Thames, and also from wells sunk in chalk subsoil; shows the purification plants and laboratories safeguarding the health of Londoners; describes the enormous reticulation and pumping system which serves an area of 54 square miles; shows also the installation of new pumping equipment and other plant to keep pace with the ever-growing demand for more water.
