Eugene Delacroix (1798-1863)

One of the most creative and inspired artists of his time, Delacroix was the illegitimate son of Talleyrand. He epitomized the frenzied and impulsive side of the Romantic movement and many of his paintings contain great depths of emotion. His work is analyzed by Kenneth Clark. Directed by Colin Clark.
